Brittco has trainings for DSPs that will complete the training requirements for the DODD. Below are the trainings that need to be completed to fulfill the requirements of the DODD, and an explanation of when they need to be completed.
Initial Training
The Initial Training course needs to completed before the DSP provides services to an individual.
New Hire Training
The New Hire Training course has to be completed within the first 30 days of being hired.
Annual Training
The Annual Training course has to be completed by all staff on a yearly basis. New hires included. The timeframe is based on a calendar year, not the date of hire. This means that if a staff member is hired on 12/15, they will need to have completed the Annual Training prior to 12/31.
Additional Annual Training
The Additional Annual Training course needs to be completed on a yearly basis in addition to the Annual Training course. This training course has the six hours of additional training that is required by the DODD for staff to complete on a yearly basis.
