This article we go over the differences between the field types of dropdown, checkbox, and radio button when building a form, plan, or assessment.
The dropdown, checkbox, and radio button are all similar but have different functions that will make one option better than the other for creating your documents.
We will start with the radio button type of field. The radio button works best when there are only a few options and only want to have one option selected. The radio button will only allow one of the options to be selected. When the radio button type is selected, it is best to keep the options between 2-3.
The next option is the dropdown type of field. The dropdown works best when there are more than 3 options but you only want one of those options selected.
The last option is the checkbox. The checkbox works best when there is a possibility to have multiple options selected at the same time.
