This article will go over report 297, our most comprehensive payroll report how the report gets populated. We know payroll is important and can be formatted countless ways, so we created a way to create a payroll report based on the most common of requests for payroll needs.
Where does this report pull information?
Since hours can be logged in multiple screens for multiple services, we created a way to pull ALL the staff hours together to make it easier for us to create payroll information for your staff entries. Report 297 pulls from the Attendance, HPC, NMT, Scheduler, and Timeclock screens.
The report will also show mileage if documenting mileage is associated with that record.
HPC- Recalculate
*You will need to click Recalculate in the Billing screen*
This will pull the most updated records into the payroll report for your staff. Once recalculate is clicked, your payroll report will populate with the documentation from the different screens throughout Brittco.
Scheduler Hours
For hours on the Scheduler to populate on report 297, you will need to create a category with the 'Include Payroll' checkbox checked.
Once this category has been created, the staff will need to click 'Mark Complete' on the created event for the record to show on report 297.
Filters
Due to the different ways payroll companies want payroll information, we created a lot of filters for common requests for formatting payroll information.
You can filter by a specific pay period:
You can filter by specific screen(s):
You can make a detailed report or a summary report:
You can also filter on specific payroll codes and categories, staff, and department. The department field can be setup in the Staff Information tab of the Setup screen. This can batch your reports to similar roles.
Payroll Rates, Code and Amount
You have the option to assign payroll rates and codes to staff entries on the HPC, Scheduler, and Timeclock screens. Creating rates and codes will allow for the amount column to populate and also allow for extra filtering on specific rates.
Please note, OT rates will not be calculated in the detailed area of the report.
Report 297, Rounded
Lastly report 297a, we can have this report show the hours as is, or rounded to the nearest 15 minute increment(1:07pm will round to 1pm while 1:08pm will round to 1:15pm).
