- On the Piece Tracker screen, click the 'Payroll' button in the upper right-hand corner:
- Set the date filters and select 'QuickBooks'. This will download the report and save it on your computer.
- Go to Transaction Pro and map the fields according to this:
Note: The QB Amt/Hours is the field that includes the actual payroll amount. It is useful to understand how this is calculated. All calculations are per client per day.
Piece Rate
If the job is a Piece Rate job (the Pieces per Hour is NOT 0), then this field will be the Piece Rate x number of pieces. The Piece Rate is based on the date span on the Setup screen and the Job Type if there is one assigned. So for example, if a job is done on March 5 of 2018, then the Piece Rate will be whatever is defined in the span date that includes March 5, 2018.
Hourly Rate
If the Job is an Hourly Rate job (the Pieces per Hour is 0), then this field will be the Hourly Rate based on the date span on the Setup screen and the Job Type if there is one assigned. So for example, if a job is done on March 5 of 2018, then the Hourly Rate will whatever is defined in the span date that includes March 5, 2018.
Holiday Rate
If a Job is a Holiday job, then the rate will be calculated based on which Holiday rate calculation method is chosen:
Job Type: Holiday-1
Rate calculation: average of all total wages (both piece rate and hourly rate) for the previous 4 weeks (from the date of the Holiday)
Job Type: Holiday-2
Rate calculation: average of piece rate wages plus the average of the hourly rate wages for the previous 4 weeks (from the date of the Holiday), then divide by 2.
