In addition to completing the Annual Training course, DODD requires that all DSPs need to complete a
minimum of six (6) additional hours of training annually (rule 5123-2-08, Appendix C, pages 2 and 3,
section (2)). We have compiled a group of lessons from the DSP Essentials Library of training modules
into this course that qualify for the majority of the training topics listed in Appendix C as referenced
above. The lessons in this course total 6 hours of training.
There may be other training topics that you need to take to satisfy the DODD training mandate. Please
refer to the following document to make sure you take all training to meet the requirement:

Health and Welfare Alerts issued by DODD since previous year’s training (Times will vary
and you should be sure to check with your supervisor). The health and welfare alerts can
be found in the My Documents section of the Brittco Training module. You can filter to
display only health and welfare alerts using the checkboxes at the top of the My
Documents tab.
You may complete any of the Brittco training modules from the section below that are relevant to
services delivered, and people served by your agency/provider. Be sure to ask your supervisor
which modules are appropriate for your agency before beginning any lessons.
