In this article, we will provide an overview of the Referrals module for provider admin users.
If a County Board has set up their Referrals module, provider admin with access to a County Board's Provider Portal can view and respond to Provider Referrals.
On the Referrals module, providers can see Active and Closed referrals. Providers can access the details and respond to Active referrals by clicking the View button to the right side of each referral.
The Closed tab only shows referrals that a Provider is listed as the Provider Identified.
Manage Profile
Providers can create and manage their Referral's profile by clicking the Manage Profile button on the top right side of the module.
Within the Manage Profile window, providers have the option to add a mission statement, website, contact name, phone number and email address. Providers can also select the services they are interested in filling. The Services drop-down menu aligns with the services available in the OhioISP.
It's important to note that a provider will only see referrals for the Services selected in the Services drop-down menu. If the Services field is left blank, providers will see referrals for all Services.
View and Respond to Referrals
Providers can access the details and respond to Active referrals by clicking the View button to the right side of each referral. When viewing a referral, a provider can see the Request Information, Demographics, Service Information and respond to the referral by clicking on the I am Interested or I am not Interested button. Responses to a referral can only be changed before the referral expires. Once a referral expires, it will no longer appear in the module unless the provider is the Provider Identified to fill the referral. Once a provider responds to a referral, the County Board will be able to see the response and will have the option to contact interested providers outside of the Brittco system.
Notifications
Providers can sign up for daily or weekly digest notifications from their Staff record. Notifications can be accessed by clicking on the Staff module and clicking the Edit button to the right of the record.
Weekly Digest emails are sent out every Monday. If a referral is not added, emails aren't sent out for daily digest notifications.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will I receive a Brittco notification once a provider has been identified for a referral, I marked I am Interested in?
No. If a provider is identified for a referral, the referral will appear on the Closed tab for the provider identified only. It is the responsibility of the County Board to communicate next steps with providers outside of the Brittco system.
Why can't I see the Referrals module when I access the County Board's Provider Portal?
If you are not a provider admin user or the County Board has not added the Referrals module to their Brittco system, you will not see the module.
