We're thrilled to announce more enhancements to Brittco that will help document all of the different transportation services you provide. Our latest update brings forth two significant changes that we believe will greatly benefit our users.
1. Service Dropdown within Routes
If you are billing for transportation services, one of the key changes you'll notice is the addition of a service dropdown within the route interface. This enhancement replaces the previous "Billing Type" field within Vehicles. With this update, managing services for your routes becomes more straightforward and efficient. Now, you can easily select the appropriate service directly within the route.
Now that you can select a service within a route, we have removed the need to select whether a vehicle is "per trip" or "per mile", which caused issues when a vehicle was used for both types of transportation billing. If you created duplicate vehicles to get around this, please reach out to support@brittcosoftware.com and we'll be happy to assist in merging these vehicles.
2. Enhanced Warnings
We understand the importance of accuracy and completeness in managing routes, and to assist you in this endeavor, we've introduced enhanced warnings. If your route requires an end time or mileage (particularly if "Mileage Required" is enabled within the Route settings), the system will now prompt you with warnings to ensure these vital details are not overlooked. These warnings serve as helpful reminders, empowering you to create comprehensive routes with all necessary information.
There are currently two different warnings:
- Missing End Time: This warning will show for all trips that do not have an end time entered.
- Missing Mileage: This warning will show for all trips that do not have start and end miles entered if the route has "Mileage Required" set to "Yes" in the Route Details. We highly recommend turning this on if you intend to bill for "per mile" services.
