Starting July 1, 2025, new MUI rule changes go into effect—and Brittco for County Boards has been updated to match. Here's what's changed:
Updated Terminology
We've aligned our categories with the latest DODD terminology:
- “Emotional Abuse” replaces “Verbal Abuse”
- “Unexplained or Unanticipated Death” replaces “Accidental or Suspicious Death”
- “Death other than Unexplained or Unanticipated Death” replaces “Death other than Accidental or Suspicious Death”
- The “Verbal” sub-type has been removed under “Peer to Peer Acts”
New Supplemental Forms Section
When reporting a Level C MUI—Unapproved Behavioral Supports, Unanticipated Hospitalization, or Law Enforcement—a new “Supplemental Forms” section will appear. This allows you to complete the required appendices (C, D, or E) directly within the incident report.
This new section is built using our Custom Forms module so you will now see the 3 new forms - titled Administrative Review Form for Law Enforcement, Administrative Review Form for Unanticipated Hospitalization, and Administrative Review Form for Unapproved Behavioral Support - in your Forms Library if you have the Incidents module enabled in your system.
